Spaeri is a second division Georgian team who won the Georgian cup by beating the kholkheti Khobi 2-1 then they beat locomotive Tbilisi II 1-0 in the round of 16 then they beat telavi who are 7th in the Georgian first tier then in the semi finals they played Garga a first tier side who sit at 6th place who they beat 5-4 on penalties and in the final they played dinamo Tbilisi who they beat 5-4
